"You're lucky... that you were mad. See, when you're mad you don't miss people and if you stay mad, it's like you never knew them at all... that way you don't have to feel sucky about it... You were lucky..."
the compelling fight we face each day. A little thing i like to call happiness. They are many things that can give one person joy. This item could be physical, or emotional, even spiritual.. If happiness is all we really are looking for in this world, why is it that when we find it we are forced to keep searching for something more? No matter how easy it may seem to just be content with what already brings us bliss, why do we overlook it? the question im trying to answer is.. what really is the true meaning of happiness?
These days anyone can buy an item to make them happy. hell, you could now purchase one night stands on ashley madison to fulfill your exotic dreams. But once these items break, or become old and dull, or once those amazing 3 hours of pure infidelity are over what will you have left? This is when we strive to find our long lost happiness again. We repeat this kind of game once more, with the same morals, just different strategies. and in the end we are faced with the same exact fork in the road from before.
Its a funny thing, life. It teaches us lessons about how to find our true joy, but never explains to us what it will look like, or what it will feel like. What if happiness is the last thing we need? what if being angry at the world is actually better than going 'round in the same circle over and over again. we already know there will be no lower than this.
why try to fight for happiness if we never really win?
sincerely,
M.
